02/04/2008 - OptiCal Ireland Business Awards
Now in it’s fifth year, the County Carlow Business Awards is the Business Event of the Year in the Region.The awards were established by the Chamber to recognize the individual successes of local firms and their contributions to the areas economy.  This year, there were 300 submissions received across the 15 allocated categories and a shortlist of 3 companies per category went forward to the finals with winners being announced at the Black Tie Gala Awards Dinner on the 7th March 2008.  Each of the shortlisted companies were honoured on the night for their outstanding contribution to business in Carlow.  OptiCal Sciences are proud to have been one of the chosen shortlisted companies under the prestigious “Excellence in Business Practice” category – an award that was devised to recognize businesses that could demonstrate excellence and innovation in Customer Service, Business Development and Management Processes. Guests on the night were subject to a very articulate Government Minister for Trade and Commerce John McGuinness, who spoke about the importance of businesses for the local economy and congratulated each and every finalist on their continued excellence in their relevant fields. 

 
 
 
18/03/2008 - OptiCal Ireland Move to New Premises
OptiCal Sciences (Ireland) Limited has moved to a new building on the outskirts of Carlow, Co Carlow. The move to the Strawhall Industrial Estate means we are ready and organised for future expansion and development in Irelands vitally important and buoyant economy. This move will help us better support the growing investment by major pharmaceutical manufacturers in our area.
